Nathaniel T. Cutler

Nathaniel T. Cutler has broad transactional and litigation experience representing businesses in an array of industries including service, retail, manufacturing, marketing, and technology. Mr. Cutler’s experience includes negotiating and drafting agreements for asset purchases, real estate purchases, and real estate leases. He also prepares corporate and limited liability company structural documents including operating agreements, bylaws, and shareholder agreements. He has extensive litigation experience representing businesses with their commercial litigation matters under federal and state law relating to contract, copyright, trademark, unfair and deceptive business practices, fraud, tortious interference with business relations, dischargeability in bankruptcy, and fair debt collection. Mr. Cutler regularly secures business licenses and certifications for corporate clients including retail food and liquor licenses, City of Chicago Women and Minority Business Enterprise certifications, and Illinois Department of Public Health licenses. Additionally, he advises businesses on employment matters and crafts related employee agreements, independent contractor agreements, and employee manuals.

Mr. Cutler received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Iowa, Tippie College of Business, in 2000, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tulsa, College of Law in 2004. He is admitted to the Missouri Bar and the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri; the Kansas Bar and the United States District Court, District of Kansas; and, the Illinois Bar, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Mr. Cutler is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association. He is a member of several CBA committees including the committee for Bankruptcy and Reorganization, Real Property Law, Corporate Documentation, and Business Law.
