Nathaniel T. Cutler

Nathaniel T. Cutler has broad transactional and litigation experience representing businesses in an array of industries including service, retail, manufacturing, marketing, and technology. Mr. Cutler manages the firm’s trademark practice, filing applications, responding to office actions, performing infringement analyses, handling trademark litigation, and counseling clients on trademark strategy. He also taught at the Trademark Clinic for the University of Illinois-Chicago Law School.
Mr. Cutler devotes a substantial portion of his practice to mergers and acquisitions. He primarily assists European SMBs acquire U.S. targets as part of his client’s U.S. growth strategy. He is the lead counsel for each transaction from the initial phase Letter of Intent to the middle phase due diligence and drafting of the definitive agreement to the end phase of closing. His broad transactional and litigation experience is an asset to being able to identify legal issues and guide clients through all the phases.
Mr. Cutler’s practice also includes real estate purchasing and leasing; employment related matters; shareholder disputes; and general commercial litigation.
Mr. Cutler received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Iowa, Tippie College of Business, in 2000, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tulsa, College of Law, in 2004. He is admitted to the Missouri Bar and the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri; the Kansas Bar and the United States District Court, District of Kansas; the Illinois Bar, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Cutler regularly presents at various trade organizations by addressing important legal issues for businesses when they consider expanding to the U.S. market or growing their already existing U.S. business.
